Quantum Brilliance joins German Australian Business Council and promotes international exchange, cooperation and German-Australian friendship

  • Renowned business network brings together innovative companies from Germany and Australia and puts important topics on the agenda

  • German-Australian quantum computing start-up moves into European headquarters in Stuttgart

STUTTGART, December 20, 2021 ––– Quantum Brilliance, German-Australian manufacturer of innovative quantum computing hardware, joins the renowned German Australian Business Council (GABC). The aim of this business network is to strengthen the relationship between Australia and Germany and to support companies and individuals who want to gain a foothold in the other country. Last but not least, the GABC creates contact opportunities through various activities. Events are held to keep members informed about economic, trade and investment developments in countries that are of mutual interest to the economy – such as the export and import of green hydrogen. In this renowned circle, Quantum Brilliance will inform the members of the GABC about the mega topic of quantum computing – and point out potentials and business opportunities. The first webinar is expected to take place in the course of January. In addition, the company focuses on exchange, networking and jointly exploring business opportunities. Originally founded in 1997 as Australian Business in Europe (ABIE) Germany, the patrons of the GABC are the Australian Ambassador to Germany, Philip Green, and Anna Fedeles, Consul General of Australia in Frankfurt am Main.

"We are proud to be part of the GABC now. This powerful network puts important issues on the agenda and has the resources to drive them forward. It's also a great opportunity for us to connect with other innovative companies with similar roots and values, pass the ball to each other and support each other," explains Mark Mattingley-Scott, Head of Europe at Quantum Brilliance. "In this way, we can give something back and help others to take their first international steps, as well as strengthen the bond between Germany and Australia overall. The two countries have a very good, productive relationship, and we want to show that broader cooperation in the field of technology and 'deep tech' is very possible – from which not only the parties involved, but above all the economic areas benefit massively."

Quantum Brilliance moves into European headquarters

The German Australian Business Council currently has active chapters in Frankfurt, Munich and Berlin – as well as a growing group in Stuttgart. In December 2021, Quantum Brilliance moved into its new European headquarters in the capital of Baden-Württemberg. From here, Mark Mattingley-Scott will lead the European business, take care of the expansion of strategic partnerships and will establish further company locations with highly specialized engineering and development teams in southern Germany. Quantum Brilliance produces quantum accelerators based on synthetic diamonds in small form factors that – unlike many other quantum computers – operate at room temperature and do not require cooling with liquid helium. The first product generation has already reached market maturity – in the size of a 19-inch server rack module. In the future, however, the dimensions will correspond to those of a lunch box. The scientific basis of this technology comes from the Center for Applied Quantum Technology at the University of Stuttgart.
