Sydney, Australia and Tokyo, Japan – May 29, 2025

Quantum Brilliance (QB), a global leader in diamond-based quantum technology, has been selected for the Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s “Program to Attract Overseas Companies to Japan in Collaboration with Financial Institutions” with the support of Kiraboshi Bank.  This marks QB as the first Australian company to be selected for this subsidy program, which will go towards establishing QB’s subsidiary in Tokyo, renting office space, hiring local talent and other related set up costs.

Hideaki Yoshimura, Quantum Brilliance’s Japan Country Director, relocated to Tokyo from Sydney, Australia in April 2025 to establish the local operations.  QB’s CEO, Mark Luo stated “We see Japan as a key location for building a diamond-based quantum technology value chain, and we are excited to have the support of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government.  We extend our gratitude to the Austrade Tokyo Office for introducing us to this grant and Kiraboshi Bank for their continued support.”
