Dr. cheng-ying james lu

James drives the infrastructure and instrumentation strategy that supports atomic-scale fabrication and R&D activities for Quantum Brilliance’s diamond-based quantum chips, aligning tools, processes and practices with technical goals and industry standards.

He brings 15 years of experience in ultra-high vacuum system and plasma instrumentation, with deep expertise in custom instrumentation design, installation, and maintenance.

James holds a master’s degree and PhD in Materials Science and Optoelectronics from the National Sun Yat-Sen University.
