Dr. florian preis

January 22, 2026

Florian leads our quantum computing strategy. Under his leadership, his teams delivered Quantum Brilliance’s open-source Qristal SDK and emulation capabilities, enabling the programming, simulation, and system integration of room-temperature diamond quantum accelerators.

Florian also oversaw the systems integration of the QDK 2.0 prototype quantum accelerators into HPC environments in collaboration with partners including Fraunhofer IAF and Oak Ridge National Laboratory. He also initiated and guided a dedicated effort on Quantum Utility, providing a shared framework for achieving practical advantage through hybrid quantum-classical workflows and forming a key foundation for Quantum Brilliance’s roadmap toward scalable, fault-tolerant, and edge-deployable quantum computing.

Florian holds a PhD in theoretical physics from TU Wien, with a research background in fundamental interactions, including general relativity, quantum field theory, and quantum gravity.
