Dr. kevin rietwyk

March 9, 2026

Kevin develops and applies advanced testing techniques to optimize material performance, improve reliability, and promote continuous improvement, enabling the integration of cutting-edge quantum materials into high-precision instruments.

Previously, Kevin worked in high-throughput material discovery for next-generation photovoltaics and quantum sensing, where he designed and implemented instrumentation for quantum diamond microscopy and explored its ultimate resolution limits.

Kevin holds a PhD in Physics from La Trobe University and has authored or co-authored 45+ peer-reviewed articles. In 2014 he was awarded a Marie Curie Individual Fellowship to correlate the stoichiometry of metal oxides with their electronic and optical properties by fabricating composition-gradient materials for high-throughput characterisation.
