Lachlan drives the adoption of quantum sensors within a multidisciplinary team, working closely with universities and research institutes to deliver on complex, ambitious quantum technology goals. He brings deep expertise in nanotechnology and materials science, with a focus on plasma-enhanced chemical vapour deposition, atomic layer deposition, and graphene.
Previously, Lachlan was at Swinburne University of Technology, where he led the creation of Graphene Certification Labs and served as the inaugural program leader for Space Manufacturing at the university’s Space Technology Industry Institute. He is passionate about characterising new materials across the supply chain and developing best-practice methodologies for their introduction into manufacturing environments, especially challenging applications such as those found in space manufacturing.
Lachlan holds a PhD in Applied Science (Minerals and Materials) from the University of South Australia.
