Dr. madelaine liddy

Madelaine leads the Mobile Quantum Computing project, a deployable device with tens of qubits. Madelaine brings a broad set of experience to developing diamond-based quantum devices, spanning from diamond fabrication, quantum networking, sensing, and computing. She uses her broad range of technical knowledge and out-of-the-box thinking to apply a holistic problem-solving approach, with the goal of creating a faster innovation cycle.

Prior to Quantum Brilliance, Madelaine completed an industry postdoc at SandboxAQ, where she developed a medical device which uses quantum sensors to diagnose cardiovascular diseases.

Madelaine received her undergraduate degree in a Joint-Honours, Nanotechnology Engineering and Music program followed by a PhD in Quantum Information (Electrical Engineering) from the University of Waterloo. Her dissertation focuses on universal coherent control of large ensembles of Nitrogen Vacancy centers in diamond. These developments may be used for improving quantum sensing and computing techniques.
