Dr. nils herrmann

March 9, 2026

Nils provides technical and strategic leadership in evaluating and shaping the multi-NV quantum computing architecture. Under his direction, key algorithmic primitives are studied and benchmarked to assess near-term utility and inform long-term architectural requirements.

Nils is also the principal investigator for a joint project with a leading research institution, where he leads the development of parallel quantum computing approaches.

Nils holds a PhD, MSc, and BSc in Theoretical Chemistry from the University of Cologne, where he specialized in coupled cluster method development for open-shell high-spin systems. Alongside his research, he contributed extensively to undergraduate and graduate teaching, delivering tutorials, lectures, and examinations.
