Dr. philipp reinke

March 23, 2026

Philipp develops advanced processes for the nanometer-precise fabrication of nitrogen-vacancy centers. In this role, he advances the frontiers of conventional diamond CVD, driving new standards for material purity, accuracy, and process robustness. He also plans and leads cross-team projects, working closely with surface scientists and confocal experts.

Previously, Philipp was a researcher at Fraunhofer IAF, where he focused on the development of diamond-based electronic devices and epitaxy processes. Drawing on 9+ years of research experience in diamond epitaxy, characterization, and device fabrication, he possesses a profound understanding of the complex interplay between epitaxial growth, material properties, and ultimate device performance.

Philipp holds a PhD from the University of Freiburg, where his doctoral research centered on the development and characterization of high-voltage diamond-based devices.
