Dr. yan busby

Yan manages a cross-functional team to deliver deterministic NV center placement through atomic-scale fabrication, with responsibility for people management and team development. He is a senior materials scientist with 15+ hears of international R&D experience in thin films, advanced surface and interface spectroscopy and surface engineering by RF plasmas.

Previously, Yan worked at the University of Namur in Belgium, where he conducted experimental research in applied interfaced materials and nanomaterials for applications in the defence industry.

He has authored 40+ research articles and is passionate about building collaborative, high performance R&D teams in fast-evolving deep-tech environment.

Yan holds a PhD in Applied Physics from Roma Tre University.
